You know, I think this week's been pretty fun. I mean, it's kinda hard work, but how often do you get to sleep under the stars with this many people? It's a great opportunity to meet new faces, and you gotta admit, fish tastes so much better when it's cooked on a real fire!

But there's just one thing missing...
So, anyone know any good campfire songs or ghost stories? I think that's just what we need to cheer everyone up!

Is it really possible for two worlds to exist in the same place, completely in the dark about the other one even being there?

Who'd have thought I'd ever get to go on a real adventure? You know how I said Colette was the Chosen One? Well on the day of the Oracle, Professor Raine ran off to the Martel Temple and told us to stay put and "study". That was pretty boring, so I dragged Genis and Colette to the temple with me. When we got there, one of the priests told us that the Desians had attacked them.

And he... died. Dammit! Those Desian bastards just don't know where to get off!!

We went ahead to the front of the temple. Phaidra was there and she told us to run. Then the Desians started coming. There was no way we could just run off after all that! We were holding them off pretty good, too, but then this big guy shows up and I don't think we can win.

That's when Kratos appears and saves us. But man, even if he is skilled with the sword, he was acting like a totally cocky jerk telling me to stay out of the way! Grrr...!

It's a really good thing that he's not my kid, otherwise I'd teach him a thing or two! There's no reason to act like that when you've just met someone! Sure, maybe I'm not a very good swordsman yet, but he didn't have to put it like that!

Hey guys! I'm really sorry about earlier. I guess I was pretty bummed about some of the things I remembered. Might have had something to do with that headache, too. So, yeah! Sorry if I worried anyone. I'm feeling a whole lot better now.

And Nall, we should totally stuff ourselves on fish more often! That was great.

Man... it looks like I've lost another roommate. Ion was kind of weak, couldn't fight or anything, couldn't even run up the stairs, but he was a really nice guy. Easy to get along with.

...And then Colette... I wonder if she's really okay? I'm kinda worried... I mean...! Argh!

...But hey, that Oktoberfest thing was a blast!! ...I think. I can't really remember too much about it. Maybe it's got something to do with this headache. Feels like I've been sleeping on a rock. Not too comfortable.

But I remembered something else! I must be on a roll!
If you guys thought me being raised by a dwarf was weird, then guess what? My best friend's an elf named Genis, and he's about the smartest kid you'd ever meet anywhere. He's seriously a genius, and he even knows magic! And he's always saying that I'm stupid. His big sister, Professor Raine, was our teacher. Iselia was pretty small so we were all in a class together: me, Genis and Colette...

[OOC: Lloyd's actually pretty depressed, so if he seems off, that's why. Expect him to do a lot of sneaking off to the stables to see Noishe. And probably feed the Protozoan foods that... we assume Protozoans shouldn't be eating. And I'm using my last percent from the memory raffle - 1% on Genis (or Genius) basics, and the 2% from Oktoberfest go towards... 1% on Raine (or Refill) basics and 1% on the Desian attack on Iselia/Lloyd being exiled. 13% total, 0% remaining]

So guys... you read the letter about those twins, I guess?

Well, I-- we were thinking that they probably know a whole lot about this place. Especially if they're the 'gods' of the island. So... wouldn't it be a good idea to form a search party and go looking for them? Guessing that they're still around, anyway. If a whole bunch of us go to look and break into groups, we can be in more places at once, right?

Maybe they're not so bad. If we talk to them, and they're willing to hear us out, they might tell us a few things we don't know. I mean, if they're trying to "save us from despair" or whatever, they can't be totally bad people! Not that I believe we're all depressed or anything! Nobody ever said anything to me about meeting those guys, so maybe they're waiting for us to figure out where they're hiding.

And if they turn out to be total jerkbags we can gang up on them.

So! School really hasn't been so bad. Yeah, okay, so maybe I was dozing off just a little, but you can't hold it against me, right? I've gotta catch fish and zees (zzz) in between studying. Right?? Have a heart, teachers! It's not like I'm trying to suck.

So what if I got a D on that pop quiz? I'm still passing! At least I show up every day and pretend to be interested. Doesn't that count for anything?

But that's not what I wanted to talk about anyway.

Did you guys get a depressing letter slid under your door? I mean... sure, I guess it makes sense, but are people really that desperate? I haven't remembered anything super awful. Most people are happy to get their memories back, aren't they? How could anyone just give up?

And why are people being all sneaky about handing them out? You'd think they didn't want someone to know about it.

And I thought my luck was good! There's no way I can get outta it. Man oh man... this really sucks. Summer school was bad enough, now I've gotta go to the real thing?! Agh...! I don't even know anyone I can copy notes off of!

All right! Was that last event cool or what?? I feel like I learned a lot just by reading and talking to people! Huh. I never knew my head could work that way... I'm not even sure what all I said exactly, but it sure sounded smart at the time. Well, maybe.

And...! I finally remembered how to use my swords! Well, I mean, I was learning how to use them anyway, but there's a way to combine them with mana (something like that) and then "fwacha!" it does this really cool deal that sends sparks flying!

It's really neat!

Oh yeah, and I remembered some of the techniques my dad taught me about crafting weapons and jewelry and stuff. So hey guys, if you ever break anything, maybe I could try fixing it! No guarantees, but it's worth a shot, right?

Now about that ring...

I guess this time everyone has received super powers, right? I always thought it would be pretty fantastic to be a super hero, go on a dangerous quest full of trials, and save the world. I rather doubt that a teenage boy who's been raised by a dwarf in the woods would qualify as hero material, but I guess I can still dream, can't I?

I mean... A vivid imagination can be a strong asset, especially for artists and musicians, right? I don't think I'm particularly well-suited for either of those fields, but there must be something else... maybe I could pursue a career as a goodwill ambassador or a politician, or possibly even an army general? They must be creative people - looking for different ways to solve problems, and new ideas to make better use of a country's resources?

But I digress. Point is: this is really disappointing! I wonder why I don't feel any different than usual? Oh, right. I believe I remember that some people were skipped over when other strange things occurred, so maybe this time I was also unaffected. Well that's cruel and unusual punishment. It would have been really fun.

It was probably not the best job for him, for both obvious and not-so-obvious reasons. The most obvious of which being that he was just a little bit too enthusiastic and failed to watch what he was doing. With a final crack, the tree gave a shudder and began to topple over.]

[...That is, to topple over just a liitttle too close to someone for comfort. Lloyd cursed and started dashing in that direction, waving his arms wildly.]

So things are starting to get really weird... Like REALLY. WEIRD.

First I remember some stuff. Yanno, after that dance we had, just like the invite said I would. I remembered a really good friend of mine. Then the next thing I know, "poof!" and she's here. 'Course Colette doesn't remember me or anything, but still, she showed up! I still can't get over that!

Then Professor Klarth ends up getting a ring from that party that looks EXACTLY like one I had with me when I came here, but his shoots fire and stuff. I wonder if mine can do that, too? I wonder what that's supposed to mean...

And THEN! And this is the part that's the hardest for me to believe... Kratos got NOISHE for going to that party. Why'd KRATOS of all people get my dog NOISHE? I mean, how does Kratos even know about Noishe? All I said was "hey that sounds like Noishe, he hates monsters and strange people too" cuz we were talking about his pet cuz that guy seriously needs to socialize more and he like IMMEDIATELY knew I was talking about his pet!

It's kinda fishy.

And it really was Noishe, too! He's just like I remember him!

Does that mean Kratos is from the same world as me? Maybe Noishe used to be his dog? Or... maybe Noishe used to be my dog and something happened to me and Kratos adopted him?

Huh. It's really weird. I dunno what to think. It kinda makes my brain hurt. What's going on?

...Oh! Oh right! And Lust, thanks a lot for hanging out with me at the ball! It was really great!

[Lloyd had been sleeping soundly, dreaming, his snores audible to his poor roommate, Ion, and probably the residents on either side of them, too. That all changed as the boy suddenly snapped awake, his eyes wide, his hand shooting out and making an instinctive, desperate reach towards the ceiling, but of course, nothing was there to reach for.]

[Lloyd hurried to his feet, grasping for the door handle, and clambered down the nine flights of stairs, breathless as he reached the front door of the apartment building and flung it wide. Only the morning sun greeted him, and its glaring light was nearly blinding. It was enough to bring the swordsman back.]

That's right. She's not here, is she?

[Lloyd leaned back against the wall, gasping for air, hoping no one had witnessed that. It wouldn't be too good if people thought something bad had happened to him.]

A-all right! Finally something really exciting happens around here! Whodda thought it'd be something like this, though? Fun, food (because all great parties have to have food!), and some mysterious promise of memories plus something or other from home? I'm in!
